Audio system page

I would really appreciate it if everyone visiting this page would leave me some

feedback. Please post your feedback by clicking here.

Okey ......finally i got the design of the audio system finalized and built. Heres a list of

the components i used

- One P10002 Rockford Fosgate amplifier (putting out 1000 watts x 1 RMS)

- One P8004 Rockford Fosgate amplifier (putting out 100 watts x 4 RMS)

- Two P315D4 15" Rockford Fosgate subwoofers ( handling 500 watts RMS)

- Two pairs of polk audio 6.75" component sets (handling 100watts RMS)

Okey i will start with the description of the trunk / subwoofer set up. In order to

maximize box size and usable truck space, i decides to build part of the enclosure using cover panels already in the car. So after removing these panels, i added some MDF to give the box some depth and create a flat surface to which i attached the box face. Before i attached the face, i coated the box with 6 layers of fiberglass for strenght. Here are some pictures

I then built the rack that would carry the amps and crossovers, then i test fitted the whole setup.

I then completes the construction of the box, and installed the components the test fitting, and make sure it looks good.

And after i was completely satisfied with every aspect of the build, (including fuctionality of the system) i took it all apart, carpeted it and then put it back together again.

Okey now the rest of the speakers. Luck was on my side with these ones. I thought they would not fit into the factory brackets, and that i would have to build new brackets, but they actually were a perfect fit. So i swapped all the speakers, and installed them into the factory locations.

I actually hated (with a passion !!!!!!) the factory speaker covers, so i modified them. i used the grilles i got with the polk speakers and this are the results.
