Window Switches.
I would really appreciate it if everyone visiting this page would leave me some feedback. Please post your feedback by clicking here.
I guess the motto of this install is 'if it can be relocated, Relocate it' So heres the new home of the window switches. This is the old ashtray location just in front of the shifter as can be seen in this picture.
For this part of the build, i had to use my soldering skills to make the new switches work. I bought some after market switches and since the factory switched are installed on top of the window control circuit board, i soldered jumper cables to the terminals and attached the other end to the correct terminals on the switches. Once all connections were made, i simply un-pligged the control board in the car and plugged in this board to test and again....it worked like a charm.
The switches come with the housing for them and thats what i fabricated into the shifter panel using the same ol routine of fiberglass and bondo body filler, sanding and priming.
And here is the completed panel with the switches installed. The window kill switch will be installed in the center, and the mirror switch will follow the theme of this instal and will be relocated somewhere !#$%&^%$@#$%^ (location to be determined )
