Here is the reason your here.
well start from the beginning.....
MANY years ago, i got my lil red ferrari & simply HAD to have a system in it. in FACT... when i bought the car my dad drove it home & pulled it in the garage. I was installing a stereo system in it before i even knew how to drive it (its a stick shift, i drove tanks full time before i got it ;)

i dont have pictures for these systems, cause i didnt own a digital camra. come to think of it, i dont think they were invented yet?

starting with
2 10's rockford subs and a roadgear amp
2 12" DOCTOR CRANKENSTEIN subs with the same amp..

moving on up in the world to ALPINE V-12 amps.
running 2 AURU Force 10 subs.

Getting my first job as an installer the store i worked for sold rockford & soundstream. I picked up 2, 12"rockford Punch DVCs and ran them along with the AURA 10's

i loved the stupid impeadences that you can use the soundstream 10.2's so i got another one. plus i picked up 4 HX2 12" rockfords. oh i loved those subs. after numerous tries at various shows all over the place, i finally won a show.

if u look at the picture on the right, you can see the box, the amps, and the high tech cooling mechanism on the right. those amps got hot when i ran them at 1/4 Ohm BRIDGED. but oh it was fun.

I think digital camras were invented by now, but I didnt own one, so i brought film to CVS and checked the box to print to CD's. (i rock)
also you will see the stock trunk. I then became serious in competeing. I quickly realized that i couldnt fit alot of stuff in the car with the stock trunk & knew about the sportback option. I went online looking for pulsars for sale, with the sportbak trunk. I found one in the DC area, so I e-mailed the guy who oned it & payed him & convinced him to sell his pulsar as a regular pulsar, & i took the sportbak. i barely had enough money to make it back hom between gas & FREAKIN TOLLS!! it was about 4-5 hour drive. but it was worth it.
Then ever so conviently I was layed off around christmas time from my installer job because they wanted a full timer. I was going to school at the time so i couldnt do the full time thing. anyway when i got laid off I bought a BUNCH of crap from the store on my last day with the employee discount & went to WORK. i picked up 4 MORE HX2 12's and a slew of dynamat extreme & wire & other various stuff. oh yea, and i found a lil company called MA AUDIO! things havent been the same since..

Once it was stripped a healthy coat of dynamat was added, and yes if u can look close enough i even dynamatted the shift boot. I actually think that was dave. (he gets rather excessive, ane why shouldnt we? its a db drag machine in the making;)

I even bolted the seatbelt into the wall. those bolts still stand till this day and HAVE survived an accident, so i know they work.

now for the back.... The picture on the right is the completed trunk. Problem is that its hard to photograph chrome (at least for me it was) so i put an old bedsheet in the back so bring them to life. remember im not a photographer.

Lessons learned from this system...
1.) HAVE A WAY TO GET TO YOUR FUSES!
if your amp has fuses, like mine did (4-40amp), have a WAY TO GET TO THEM. I went to a show. The car was looking all nice & pretty. I compete with it, and played it a LITTLE too long, and they blow. oh crap. took me a while to undo all that fancy stuff to get to them. thank god i brought extras.

2.) DONT BUILD YOUR BOX TO THE MANUFACTURES SPECS!
**if your competing**, the enclosure volumes in the speaker manual are more then likey for general overall sound quality. I must say this system sounded nothing short of AWSOME... But when i came down to competing, it just wasnt all that. the box was too small. I took out 2 speakers, covered up the whole (yea it looked like total A$$) but it worked much better. then I took the cover plates for the 2 missing woofers and converted them into ports. (looked even WORST)... got even louder...
of course i would put it all back to normal after the show. but after a while i just said to hell with it. that was the last time the car looked "nice"
