welcome to WARRIOR!!
after a wonderful Blackhawk ride in the pouring cold rain (yes it gets cold in the desert in the winter) i arrived in my new home.
hard at work
the "lovely" view from our shop
we needed a place to work, sooo i built one! here im pondering construction.

its just a tent that had to be elevated to we could work on the trucks.
this was all done after I fixed up the shop. the place just had 4 walls, and was in shambles. The shop was so messed up when i got here. It was just THROWN together by the previous unit. there wasn't a right angle in the entire shop. (before i got there at least)

dressed up a little
and with some items i kinda borrowed from Ft Drum and Bragg :)but there was NOTHING but 4 walls in here. i built the desks, cabinets etc. this is just my half of the shop.
Here is the workshop almost done....
my floating tent work place!
after all the priority stuff was done, it was time for more "less mission essential" projects... like...
PIMP MY RIDE!!
our asses kept getting wet from the frequent rain because we had no back for our truck. i just snatched up a sheet of plywood & went to town. i even built removable sliding rear windows so we could actually get some air in there and SEE out the back, AND not get our asses wet when it rained.

then that sexy armrest in the middle DOUBLES as our "trunk/glove box" killer tunes eh? trust me, were the only jammin truck on the FOB (that I know of) i had requests for many side jobs after that.
I got the windows for the back at the ever so popular dump.

here are the lovely after effects of an oil fire.

its not like that all the time, but hell im sure NJ air isnt much better ;) its just not as concentrated to SEE, it just blankets the entire metro area.
this is more like your average oil fire

its less thundercloudlike. I count around 6 at any given time & they light up the night sky here. its almost like the movie Lord of the Rings, when looking at that Volcano, how it lights up that place.
Some duties include parts running. Took a trip to danger and hung out with the chopper crew when we landed for a while in the middle of Bumphuck iraq.

the "view from above"

starlight, starbright, first flair i see tonight?!
meet my 4 newest friends
FRANK
And my other larger friend BOB
the others .....
on the left Roo, on the right, Clem

Roo is VERY bashful. He doesnt like to pose for pictures. We found him sleeping in the cheifs tool bag. (thats his butt behind that yellow thing) When cheif was looking for a tool, Roo wasnt happy & decided to find a new place to sleep. so he scurried away to go hang out with Clem. Clem lives under our workbench. Clem isnt as bashful when it comes to pictures, but we have to take them on his terms, in his home. he wont come out like BOB. Bob doesnt give a shit about anything. hes big enough to hit the self timer on my camra & take them on his OWN. Frank is a night owl, but hes actually was the most photogenic. he just sat there & posed. he seems to like that rumpshaker video so he turned around & was shakin what his momma gave him at me. thats when i kinda left him alone. does the word hemotoxin mean anything?
ok look what IIIIII FOOUUUNNNDDDDDD :)

looks like i get to have some FUN!!
August 05
We recently "came across" a pile of old lumber.
I felt obligated to liberate this pile of junk and with a partner in crime & undertook some projects ive been meaning to do....
Frame work & floor

Knocked down the makeshift shed & finished extending the wall.

Starting the walls for the new addition

During construction I think we woke up Clem, we kinda didnt notice he was there & youll see why when you look at the picture...

Our Newest friends, including a new roommate

Our Warrior Mission has sadly come to an end. Many up here will be missed. Here are some of the final pictures from the last day.
MY side all nice & clean.... and... EMPTY!! and some words of wisdom & inspiriation for the company we left & the new guys to come into

Me Chillin... last time in the shop

No more Oil Fires for me. They were almost cool to look at. They lit up the night sky EVERY night. They are so much nicer then the camra can describe...
and the last picture @ Warrior... the ever blazing relentless SUN.
