Trunk Base
The whole install lays on top of a 19mm thick MDF Board. It has been cutted to fit in the original shape of the bottom of the trunk, and it was not easy. In the middle of the board a square window was open to let the subwoofer enclosure fit on it and stay firmly supported. It is obvious that the spare wheel it is not anymore on its place, to make room for the enclosure and for a second battery, in the middle of the trunk just before the enclosure. Notice the window to see part of the Optima Blue Top Battery.
On both sides of the enclosure we find the supports for two of the amps, they are rotated 10º from the base, the supports are made of MDF Board, screwed and glued together, to get a rock solid support for every element, in adition the support has been cutted in the middle to allow ventilation from below the amps.
Finally the non-visible side of the base for the trunk has been milled to drive all the cables, in order to keep them protected and separete one from the others. Quite a hard and long work, but a very nice result, I guess...
...first of all I draw all the channels, and then started milling...
... up to the the final result.
After primer, sanpeper and laquering, I started fixing all the wires with ties inside and through the milled channels
Then back to the trunk I fixed the RCAs wirs that came out from the back of the seats...
...and then fixed to its position.
