These are some pics of my 81 Bronco. I rescued this Bronco from the junk yard where it was about to be crushed. The original color was silver and black, with a lot of primer.
The suspension was worn out, the interior was shot. I saw the truck and couldn't imagine seeing it go thru the crusher even with the amount of work it needed. I did a solid axle swap on the front with a Dana 44 out of a 79 Bronco.
This is the shot after I got it from the junkyard.I had already installed the winch & bumper, as well as the lights. It still had the ttb. It had a set of worn out 31's on it.
This is after the solid axle swap with lift, and rhino line exterior.
I went through the axle spindle to spindle and replaced everything, even the calipers and brakes.
The parts replaced so far include,
1.Installed Big Block Radiator.

I had to use a come along to hold the front axle in place until I could get the new track bar mounted.
The new drag link has 3/4" Chromoly Heim joints with 1.25" DOM tubing.
9" REAR WITH FULL SPOOL.
The longer radius arms required moving the supports back. Gave it a lot more flex too.
A FEW TRAIL PICS. Pretty good flex. I put the extended braided lines on the front.
Got stuck in the wash below the creek.
A couple of topless pics.
